My name is James Mullarkey and I am based in London, UK.

I started putting together a website as a hobby way back in 2003 with sections in the style of various Kraftwerk album covers. It was fairly crude but I had a lot of fun doing it. In December 2008 I decided to update it using WordPress as a content management system. I have kept some of the original content and mixed it in with some newer stuff.

Although my website building started as a hobby it has now become a career as I lead the digital team of a major UK non-profit. Most of what I know about the online world has been self taught using a combination of time and lots of trial and error. I occasionally talk about general interweb issues on this blog but never talk about my job specifically.

This blog is a place for me to ramble on about my various interests and also just ramble. I’m a keen sportsperson (note I said keen not good) particularly triathlon, (cycling, running,¬†swimming) and I also try my hand at other middle class sporting pursuits like¬†fencing.

I also like travelling and I’m usually trying to save up for the next big trip to somewhere far-flung and protentious.

I’m lucky enough to be a co-host of a highly successful Halloween party held in London every year.

There’s more as well…
