Sound Production

I have been messing around with sound for a few months in my spare time.
I mentioned this to a casual acquaintance in the pub and the result was that he asked me to help him write a score to a short film he is making.

A very impressive home studio. Sadly, not mine.

From what he has told me the story revolves around two Romanian twin sisters who leave poverty and oppression behind in their native Bucharest for a new life in London.

They find modest employment in the local supermarket but they are driven by a powerful sense of ambition and an over-pushy mother. "Ma-ma" rules our identical heroines with an iron fist and instils a ruthless will to succeed in them. Fame, money, power, plastic surgery - they want the lot.

Fortunately, they are both devastatingly attractive (especially to men) and this leads to some stage auditions. Eventually they get their big break and perform live on national TV. They get a record deal, write a couple of albums, snort a lot of cocaine, have several failed marriages and live happily ever after.
Or something like that from what I remember.

Anyway, I have been busy working away in Mullarkey Towers on the score for this epic.

Would you like me to score your film? I would say my influences are Walter Carlos, John Barry, John Carpenter and Nyman of course. Nobody does spherical better than Nyman.

Give me a shout and I'll make you a choice cut. I'm only really available for a couple of hours on Sunday afternoons though.

Unless Columbo is on. If so it will have to wait.
