My Computers: The Future?

Who knows what the future will bring? I hope to upgrade individual parts rather than buy a whole new machine. I prefer the modular method. Old parts can be kept as spares or sold on eBay.

I would like a PDA but they just are not powerful enough yet. I want desktop
PC performance in something I can carry around with me easily.

I wouldn't buy a laptop because you can't upgrade them easily but perhaps I might have my own solution with a portable machine which I can upgrade modularly.
