A Beginners Guide to Cycling in London (By a Beginner)

Be confident

Well this is what the London Cycling Campaign advise and I wouldn't argue. However, it's very important to keep your cool.

This guy looks fairly calm and confident. I wonder why?

I often find that I start to feel very aggressive when a car passes you at 35mph and brushes my elbow. Drivers often look for a reaction when they pass you in their rear mirror so be careful not to mouth anything obvious! Stay cool - your alive that's all that counts!

You do have to face the possibility of a disgruntled driver might think beating you up is a good idea though. I have never been in this situation but running away has always seemed the best option to me!
